If your garage door company serves Buckhead, your customers deserve carriage character without a lifetime of wood upkeep — and your company can sell it without building it. Carriage Door Creations builds single overlay carriage doors to order in our Lawrenceville shop and supplies garage door companies across the Southeast. Custom carriage doors, built for your company. Call 678-926-3404 to set up supply for the Buckhead/Atlanta market.
Not every Buckhead garage your company serves needs to be the showpiece — but none of them should look generic. From family homes in Garden Hills and Peachtree Hills to renovated properties near Chastain Park and new builds rising off Peachtree Road, the garage often faces the street or anchors a side motor court. A single overlay carriage door gives your customers real design for that opening — raised detailing, window options, and carriage hardware — in a construction made to be lived with, not constantly maintained.
The Overlay Construction, Explained Simply Our standard single overlay door pairs ½" Extira® overlay detailing — a moisture-resistant, no-rot material made for exterior use — over a 2" foam-insulated steel-back panel. The overlay creates the board, batten, and crossbuck patterns that define a carriage door, while the insulated steel back provides structure and temperature control for garages your customers use as workshops, gyms, or storage for more than cars.
We also offer a vinyl-back option finished in LP® SmartSide, in smooth or wood-grain texture, at a more accessible price point. It's a practical choice for a detached garage, a guest house, or a project where your customers want the carriage look carried across several openings without specifying full overlay construction everywhere.
Every door is built to order, and we provide CAD drawings for your customer's review and approval before the build, so the pattern and proportions are settled before production begins.
Where Overlay Doors Fit Best in Buckhead
Peachtree Hills and Garden Hills. These neighborhoods mix original cottages, thoughtful renovations, and sympathetic new homes on tree-lined streets. An overlay door respects that scale — period-inspired detailing your customers can offer their homes that sits comfortably beside brick, stone, and siding without pretending to be a century old.
Chastain Park and Haynes Manor area renovations. When a larger home your company serves is being updated, the garage is often the last dated element left. Replacing a flat door with a carriage overlay design is one of the fastest ways to make the front elevation feel finished, especially on side-entry and detached garages visible from the road.
Tuxedo Park guest houses and secondary garages. For a main estate door in real wood, see our custom wood carriage doors. For the guest house or service garage behind it, a matching overlay door keeps your customer's property cohesive and lowers the maintenance burden across the lot.
Designed in Lawrenceville, Installed by Your Crew
Start with a dealer consult by phone. You measure and spec the job, your customer approves the CAD drawing, and we build the door in our own Lawrenceville shop — not selected from a warehouse rack. That process makes custom sizes and non-standard openings straightforward, whether your company is working with an older Buckhead garage or a new one in the Buckhead Village area. Pick up at our Lawrenceville shop, or we can ship via freight. Your crews install it, and your company stays the face of the job.
Why Choose Carriage Door Creations We specialize in carriage doors, built to order in Lawrenceville as a manufacturer supplying garage door companies across the Southeast. For your company, our single overlay line delivers a custom line without a woodshop of your own: no-rot detailing, an insulated core, and low maintenance your customers want, sold with CAD drawings they approve before we build.
