If your garage door company serves Marietta and East Cobb, your customers need a garage door update that looks custom and lives easy — and your company can sell that door without building it. Carriage Door Creations builds single overlay carriage doors to order in our Lawrenceville shop and supplies garage door companies across the Southeast. Custom carriage doors, built for your company. Call 678-926-3404 to set up supply.
Drive through Whitlock Heights, Indian Hills, or Chimney Springs and the pattern is clear in the homes your company serves: handsome brick and traditional homes from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, beautifully kept inside, still opening onto the street with their second — or even original — set of plain garage doors. Those subdivisions are now in a full update cycle, and the garage, which can take up half the front elevation, is the highest-impact place for your customers to start. Near Marietta Square and the Whitlock Avenue historic district, the need is similar but the houses are older: character is mandatory, constant maintenance is not.
What a Single Overlay Door Gives Your Customers
The standard build is ½" Extira® overlay detailing — moisture-resistant, no-rot — over a 2" foam-insulated steel-back panel. The raised overlay forms the carriage patterns: vertical boards, framed panels, crossbucks, and a window row if your customer wants one. Behind it, the insulated steel back keeps the door rigid and helps moderate a garage that serves as a workshop, storage room, or the main daily entry to the house.
We also offer a vinyl-back option finished in LP® SmartSide, smooth or wood-grain, at a more accessible price point. For your customers replacing two or three doors at once — a common East Cobb project — that option can make a whole-front-elevation update workable while still delivering the carriage look across every opening.
Each door is built to order for your customer's opening, and we provide CAD drawings for their review and approval before we build, so they approve the pattern and proportions in advance.
Updating Established Subdivisions, Respecting Historic Streets
East Cobb subdivisions. In Chimney Springs and Indian Hills, homes your company serves often have side-entry or triple garages where consistency matters — mismatched replacement doors stand out. Because we build to order, we can produce matching doors for every opening at once, in a design that suits traditional brick, painted siding, or a newly reimagined exterior, and in sizes that fit the original framing.
Historic Kennesaw Avenue and the Square area. For an older home where a full wood door is under consideration, compare our custom wood carriage doors. Many of your customers land on overlay instead for a detached garage or a heavily used family entrance — carriage detail that respects the street, in a construction that asks very little of them season to season.
Renovation coordination. On Marietta renovation projects your company handles, the garage door decision has to coordinate with paint, stone, and front-door selections already in motion. The CAD drawing becomes the shared reference everyone works from.
Dealer Flow: Consult, CAD, Build, Install by Your Crew
Start with a dealer consult by phone. You measure and spec the job, your customer approves the CAD drawings, and we build the door to order in our Lawrenceville shop. Pick up at our Lawrenceville shop, or we can ship via freight. Your crews install it — fitted, balanced, and operating smoothly — and your company stays the face of the job.
